1. Gloves

Lee was not devious by nature. As much as it was a required skill of a ninja, he found lying was perhaps an area he was even weaker in than ninjitsu and genjutsu. He simply had no ability for it, nor did he have the stomach to cradle the guilt that came when covering up the truth to someone he cared about. It was one of the reasons whenever his team would do something, Guy-sensei's eyes would flicker to him and Tenten and Neji would do anything in their power to shut him up.

It was cold.

That was how Konoha was, though – warm, sunny, and filled with green in the summer; cold, cloudy, and laced with snow in the winter. But luckily for the village, and for its namesake, the snowy times didn't last nearly as long as the green times, the times with the leaves that made it a place few could forget.

Such cold and snowy months were usually good for keeping anyone indoors; anyone except training shinobi, of course. More specifically, anyone except Rock Lee. And this was exactly the reason the young Hyuuga girl was on her way to the training grounds, braving the snowy weather tLike the Back of My Hands by ~myambergirl

It was probably Lee's favorite place in all of Konoha, greater even than the Academy roof or the training field he had managed to claim as his own. As a young boy he had stumbled upon this pond in the early spring, when a new family of ducklings had just been trying out their sea legs. He had come every day after that to lie on his stomach on the creaky old dock and watch the small yellow balls of fluff grow.

Maybe it was because of that strong association with childhood that Lee had come here to try and sort out the big tangled ball of emotion he'd become.

Hormones on Halloween It was the worst possible week for Hinata's favorite time of the year. It was that one week every three weeks that she usually spent holed up in her room or with her head bowed lower than usual in class. Because Hinata was very aware of how that special time of the month affected her and didn't want to subject anyone she cared about to her very… excitable hormones.

Why Tenten and Sakura thought it would be alright to drag her to a Halloween party, she would never understand. They both knew about it. Hinata on her period was as bad as, if not worse than, an alcoholic Rock Lee.

TenTen opened one eye to peer over at Neji, who’d sat down gracefully beside her. He looked…exhausted, which was weird, because Neji always looked in control, even when he was losing a battle. Besides the tired slump of his shoulders and frown on his face, there was a paper in his hand. That was the only thing she could see that might be the case of the change.

“Bad mission assignment of something?” She asked, sitting up from where she’d been lying in the shade, reading a scroll on the study of chain repair.

Finally, the judges have returned and concluded the best kind of contest is one that anyone can enter! So, lets get this party started, folks

Theme: Spring Fling

It can be any and everything to do with spring. Whether is LeeHina with a baby duck, or skipping through the flowers, or attending Prom, as long as it has spring in it, it's a go.

Starts: May 1st

Ends: June 21st

Categories: Fan Art, Fan Fiction, or AMVs. Others may be considered, but ask me first.

Prizes: The top submission from each category will be featured for the summer in our featured section and journals

is contributing: one-shot OR artwork. (Winners get a choice)
One-shot can be any pairing/idea.
And artwork would be a free, full coloured request.

Anyone else that wants to donate a prize, just let me know.
